In Hong Kong, Hermes has 7 stores, mainly in high end shopping malls (e.g. The Lee Gardens, Pacific Place and The Galleria Shop), department stores (e.g. SOGO), luxury hotel (e.g. The Peninsula Hotel), airport and duty free shop, which are concentrated with other stores of luxury brands.
Ever Hermes doesn't has a formal store in Festival Walk, it is possible to find Hermes Pop Up Store in Festival Walk now. Like other Pop Up stores, it is temporay in nature (from 1st October to 31st December, 2009).
The design is based on a bookstore concept, it is a place for shoppers to unfold the stories of Hermès scarves and to appreciate the diversity in sizes, designs, materials, colourations, and moreover the infinite ways of scarf-tying. An infinity of possibilities captured within this simple square but its charm is never confined by its edges.
The store is at the busiest location of Festival Walk LG1, not only with huge pedestrian traffic and is highly visible by shoppers from all levels above .
At the first glance, this store format can generate extra selling opportunities and more sales. In deeper sense, it is a creative promotion mean which can creat buzz and excitement to shoppers of Festival Walk about the Hermes.
